Aloo tikki is a popular Indian street food that can be quickly whipped up and customised as per your liking. The crunchy tikki topped with chutney, pomegranate, sev, and even dahi can be enjoyed as an evening snack.
1 cup potatoes 1/2 cup peas 1 onion 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon jeera 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste 1 tablespoon besan Oil for frying
Boil potatoes and peas. Mash them together.
Chop onion, green chilli and ginger and mix with mashed vegetables.
Mix in besan, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and salt.
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into tikkis.
Heat some oil and half-fry the aloo tikkis till crispy. Serve hot with your favourite chutney.
