Ask any North Indian, and they will never say no to aloo parathas. Dough stuffed with spiced potato filling makes for a wholesome brunch or dinner delight. Not to mention how it satisfies hunger and cravings. Here is how to make it.
2-3 cups of wheat flour Salt to taste 2-3 tbsp butter 4 boiled potatoes 1 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp cumin powder 1 tsp red chilli powder ¾ tsp garam masala 1 tbsp coriander leaves A pinch of chaat masala Water as needed ½ tsp pepper
While dhaba owners use all-purpose flour, you can use wheat flour for the dough. Make sure the dough is slightly sticky.
Mash potatoes in a pan and sprinkle powdered spices. You can also add chopped onions.
Season the mixture with salt and mix the coriander leaves. Divide the blend into small portions.
Stuff dough balls with aloo blend and roll into a paratha.
Roast aloo paratha on a hot griddle with butter and serve it once the crust is slightly crispy.
Pair it with raita, pickles, and white butter.
