Bread rolls are a nostalgic snack that pairs perfectly with evening tea. However, if you are concerned about deep-frying, try this air fryer recipe that takes out the oil and lets you enjoy bread rolls guilt-free.
8 bread slices 4 potatoes 1 chopped onion 2 green chillies 1 tsp grated ginger 2 tbsp chopped coriander ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp red chilli powder ¼ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp garam masala Salt to taste 1 tsp oil (for filling) Oil for brushing
Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, chopped onion, and green chillies.
Boil and mash potatoes and add to the pan. Mix in spices and coriander, and cook the filling.
Lightly moisten each bread slice, squeeze out excess water, and add filling in the centre of each bread slice.
Roll tightly and brush the brush with a little oil. Air fry for about 15 minutes at 190°C, turning halfway.
Once crispy on both sides, serve hot with chutney or chilli sauce.
