Ripe mangoes melt into a smooth, fragrant aamras that tastes like pure summer. Naturally sweet with a hint of cardamom, this chilled delight pairs perfectly with pooris or works as a quick dessert.
3 cups ripe mango pulp 2 tbsp sugar (optional) ¼ cup milk or water ¼ tsp cardamom powder 5-6 saffron strands (optional)
Peel and chop ripe mangoes, then blend them into a completely smooth pulp.
Taste the pulp and add sugar only if the mangoes are not sweet enough.
Add milk or water to adjust the consistency and make it smooth and flowing.
Mix in cardamom powder and saffron strands for added flavour.
Chill the aamras for 30 minutes before serving it cold.
