A popular snack across India, chicken pakora is a non-vegetarian take on the usual fritters. Served hot, with a side of mint-coriander chutney and tomato sauce, the chicken pakora is flavourful enough to be made at home!
500g of boneless chicken 2 chopped onions 1 ginger chopped 1 garlic clove, chopped 1tsp coriander leaves, chopped 2-4 green chillies, chopped Salt as needed ½ tsp sugar 1 tsp pepper powder 1 tsp msg 2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder ½ tsp garam masala
Wash and pat dry the boneless chicken pieces. Cut into medium-sized pieces.
In a bowl, add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves and green chillies.
Mix in salt, sugar, masala, Kashmiri red chilli powder and garam masala.
Add the chicken pieces. Mix it well. Cover and marinate for at least 20 - 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a deep pan. Drop the marinated chicken pieces into the oil gently.
Add 1-2 teaspoons of rice flour or cornflour to the marinade and cook over medium heat for crisper chicken pakoras.
