A Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe You’ll Want To Slather On Everything

Wintry weather always gets us craving some smoky, delicious dishes that keep us warm and pleased with their earthy aroma. This is indeed the best time of the year to fire up that grill and host a barbecue party. And as a host, wouldn’t you want a flavourful barbecue sauce to splatter it all over your dishes? It is one of the easiest sauces to make!

Ingredients

1 cup tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons butter 2 garlic cloves, chopped 2 teaspoons red chilli paste 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Salt to taste 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 2 teaspoons onion powder 1 teaspoon mustard powder Black pepper powder to taste ¼ cup brown sugar ¼ cup vinegar

Step 1

Heat a pan on medium flame. Melt the butter. Add chopped garlic. Sauté it.

Step 2

Add in tomato ketchup and red chilli paste. Mix it well.

Step 3

Add in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, red chilli powder and black pepper powder. Add salt to taste.

Step 4

Lower the flame. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Add in the brown sugar and vinegar. Turn up the heat until the sugar dissolves.

Step 5

Lower the heat. Simmer for 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally until the mixture is glossy.

Step 6

Cool completely. Transfer to an airtight jar. Use BBQ sauce over grilled meat or as a dip sauce.
