Coriander leaves, as Chef Ranveer Brar says, are the ultimate finishing touch that recipes need to look appealing. But it will be more nutritious if you pluck it from your garden. Here is how you can grow everyone’s favourite dhaniya at home.
Crush the seeds between your palms and soak them in water overnight to boost the germination process.
Coriander leaves grow in a well-drained soil. Make sure to use quality pot mix with organic compost for a healthy harvest.
Plant the seeds at least an inch into the soil, and 6 inches apart, so that the plants have enough space to grow and flourish.
Coriander plants need at least 4-6 hours of sunlight every day. So keep the planter in a good spot on your balcony.
While the soil must always be damp, there should not be waterlogging. Pour water gently to prevent ruining the harvest.
You should see plants germinating in 1-2 weeks. Soon, you will have green flourishing coriander leaves.
Make sure you remove weeds, and the harvest will be ready in 3-4 weeks. Cut the outer leaves, allowing the lower ones to grow.
