Melon is a hydrating fruit that people cherish in summer. It provides relief from the heat, helps to regulate the temperature of the body, and provides you with essential nutrients. Here is how to store it after cutting to prevent spoilage.
Cut melon into medium or small-sized cubes and keep them in an airtight container.
If the melon is not sweet, sprinkle sugar on it and refrigerate it. The fruit will taste delicious.
Don’t keep melon cubes in an open box, it will oxidise and turn brown. It will be unfit for consumption.
After cutting the melon, refrigerate it. Low temperature keeps it fresh and pulpy.
You can also drizzle lemon juice on melon cubes to prevent it from spoilage.
If you don’t have an airtight container, use a plastic wrap to cover the bowl.
Avoid splashing melon cubes with water or immersing them in any liquid. It will damage them.
