Want to have something spicy for breakfast? Try this besan masala roti, and transport your taste buds to Rajasthan. It has a tasty stuffing and is eaten with spicy garlic chutney!

Ingredients

4 tbsp besan 2 tspn red chilli powder 1 tspn jeera powder 1 tspn dhaniya powder 2 chopped green chillies ½ tspchopped coriander 1 tspn ajwain 1 cup wheat flour 1 tspn garam masala Water as needed

Step 1

For the dough, mix the besan, wheat flour, green chillies, coriander leaves and all the spices.

Step 2

Knead it with water until you get a firm, soft dough. Make small rotis out of the dough.

Step 3

Meanwhile, take another bowl to make the stuffing. Add jeera, red chilli powder, coriander seeds, chopped coriander and green chillies.

Step 4

Make sure to add a tablespoon of ghee to achieve a proper binding of the mixture. Mix everything well.

Step 5

Spread this mixture over the flattened dough and then roll into balls. Flatten the stuffed balls using a rolling pin.

Step 6

Transfer into a heated pan and heat the roti from both sides on a low-medium flame until it looks crispy and turns brownish in colour.

Step 7

Serve with garlic chutney!
