Chalta or elephant apple is a nutrtional powehouse which is usually consumed during summer to make the most of its nutrients. Lit's tender, light and mildly fragrant. Here are some chalta recipes you can make at home during summer months.

Chalta Chutney

Make a tangy and spicy chutney by cooking chopped elephant apples with sugar, salt, red chili powder, and cumin seeds until soft. Blend the mixture into a smooth paste and serve as a condiment with snacks or main dishes.
