Eid celebrations are incomplete without having a spread of classic sweets. From rich milk desserts to the festive favourites, these classic treats add warmth and celebration to the festive table.

Sheer Khurma

Sheer khurma is traditionally prepared on the morning of Eid, which represents warmth, generosity, and festivity. It is a vermicelli pudding cooked with milk, chopped dates, nuts, and a hint of saffron.

Seviyan Kheer

An Eid staple, this comforting dessert is very simple yet feels festive in every bite. Thin vermicelli is simmered in milk with sugar, cardamom, and dry fruits, making a dessert that feels rich in every bite.

Shahi Tukda

Fried bread pieces are soaked in sugar syrup, then topped with a layer of thick rabri and chopped nuts. This Mughlai dessert is decadent, creamy, and perfect for festive gatherings.

Phirni

It is a creamy rice pudding that is flavoured with cardamom and saffron. Phirni is served chilled in small bowls and is loved for its smooth texture and mild flavour.

Baklava

Layers of crisp pastry are filled with nuts and soaked in the honey syrup. Though it is of Middle Eastern origin, baklava is commonly enjoyed in many Eid dessert spreads.

Kimami Seviyan

This is a richer version of the seviyan that is cooked slowly with milk, sugar, chopped nuts, and khoya. Its thick consistency and aromatic flavour make it a loved Eid dessert.
