Most often people purchase chicken, and they have some leftovers that need to be stored. The issue with raw meat is it can contaminate other ingredients in the refrigerator. This is your guide to store it without hassle.

Freeze

Add the raw chicken to a zip-lock bag and freeze it. Make sure to keep ice cream and other ingredients in there.

Original Package

If you have raw chicken packed, keep it as is in the freezer. You can store it like that for at least 2 months.

Freeze Cooked Meat

If you have cooked the chicken, you have to store leftovers. Let the meat cool off, portion it, and freeze it in an airtight container or freezer bag.

Vacuum Sealing

You can keep cooked and raw chicken in a vacuum-sealed container and freeze it. This will prevent oxidation and spoilage.

Refrigerate

If you have to store cooked chicken for a few hours, you can refrigerate it. Within two hours of preparation, keep in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3-4 days.

Marinated Chicken

Cover the marinated chicken with food-grade plastic, glass lid, or plastic wrap. Refrigerate it and use it within 2-3 days.
