When you are sauteing mushrooms, they tend to turn out soggy. A few tips can help you achieve the perfect brown hue and texture. Save this guide to elevate your cooking skills.

Avoid Thin Slice

Don’t slice mushrooms thinly if you are going to saute them on a hot griddle. The slices will turn soggy.

Avoid Overcrowding

If you add several slices simultaneously, the pan will become crowded and mushrooms will not turn brown and crispy.

Let Water Evaporate

When mushrooms release water while cooking, let it evaporate before you add anything else, even the spices.

Flip Over

Try to flip over mushrooms if you can. This will allow both sides of the slices to cook nicely. They will also achieve a nice brown hue.

Adjust Seasoning

Once the water has evaporated, add the seasoning and cook nicely. At this stage, mushrooms will absorb the flavour and turn out nice and tasty.

Garnish

Once the mushrooms are done, garnish them and serve immediately. Mushrooms won’t hold the structure for long.
