6-Step Veg Uttapam To Make Using Leftover Idli-Dosa Batter

One of the best ways to use leftover idli-dosa batter is to prepare uttapam for breakfast the next day. It minimises wastage and allows you to prepare a hearty meal in under 15 minutes. Check out the recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 cup cabbage 1 chopped onion 1 grated carrot 1 tbsp coriander leaves 1 chopped green chilli Salt to taste A pinch of pepper ½ cup cauliflower 4 cups idli-dosa batter 2 tbsp butter/ oil

Step 1

Wash the vegetables and chop them nicely.

Step 2

Toss them in a bowl with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Step 3

Spread a thick layer of idli-dosa batter on a hot griddle.

Step 4

Sprinkle vegetables on the top and put on a lid.

Step 5

When the base is cooked, flip the uttapam and add more butter.

Step 5

Serve the uttapam with sambar or coconut chutney.
