Dosa, the South Indian staple, is known for its nutrient content and versatility. To give your dosa a green tint and make it rich in iron, here’s a step-wise recipe for palak dosa you must try.
1 cup rice ¼ cup urad dal 1 cup spinach leaves ½ inch ginger 2 green chillies ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds A pinch of hing Salt to taste Oil for cooking
Rinse rice and urad dal. Soak them separately for 4-5 hours. Grind till smooth.
Blanch spinach leaves in boiling water for a few minutes and then grind them.
Mix the pureed spinach with the dosa batter and some salt. Let it ferment overnight.
Heat a tawa, grease it with oil, and pour a spoonful of the fermented batter.
Spread the batter in a circular motion and cook the dosa on both sides.
Serve the hot palak dosa with sambar and coconut chutney.
