Malai chaap is a popular snack in North India that alcohol enthusiasts enjoy with beverages. It is consumed as is or with rumali roti. Not only is the dish creamy and lip-smacking, but it can easily be replicated at home.
6 garlic cloves 1 can of soya chaap 4 green chillies 2-inch ginger ½ tbsp cumin, fennel seeds ½ lemon ½ cup malai 3 tbsp kasuri methi 1 tbsp coriander leaves Salt to taste 2 bay leaves, onions 4 green cardamom 1 tsp coriander, cumin powder 2 tbsp chilli powder 1 tbsp fennel powder
Boil soya chaap with crushed garlic, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, chilli powder, lemon juice, and coriander powder.
Let the soya chaap cool off and slice it into bite-sized pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and fry soya chaap pieces with remaining green chillies, ginger, and garlic.
Dry roast whole spices and grind them into powder.
In the same frying pan, saute onions with powdered spices. Add fried soya chunks and pour heavy cream.
Cook for 10 minutes and garnish the top with chopped coriander leaves.
