On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and Onam, you should make delicious mawa barfi at home. You can put your worries to rest about adulteration and enjoy this rich sugary treat. Follow this recipe.
⅛ tsp cardamom powder 2.5 cups mawa 1 tsp rose essence 2 tbsp milk powder 2 tbsp nuts Ghee for greasing ¾ cup sugar
Grease an aluminium pan and keep it aside.
Crumble the khoya at room temperature and mix it with cardamom powder, rose water, and sugar.
Cook it on a low flame until it is aromatic and top it with nuts.
Spread it in an aluminium pan, set it, and refrigerate it.
After 30 minutes, cut it into cubes and refrigerate again for a couple of hours.
Offer mawa barfi to Lord Ganesha and enjoy it for yourself.
