Malai paneer is the softest variant of cottage cheese and adds richness to gravies like shahi paneer or paneer butter masala. Instead of buying it from outside, make it at home with this guide.

Ingredients

2 cups water 1 cup vinegar 1 litre of milk 1 cup fresh cream 1 cup fresh water

Step 1

Mix water and vinegar. Keep this solution aside.

Step 2

Heat milk in a pan and bring it to a boil.

Step 3

Add fresh cream and stir. Mix the vinegar solution.

Step 4

Keep stirring the mixture on a low flame until milk solids appear.

Step 5

Strain the blend into a muslin cloth. Wash with cold fresh water.

Step 6

Keep the weight on the paneer and freeze it for an hour or more. Enjoy!
