¼ tsp turmeric, ajwain A pinch asafoetida 1 cup besan 10 black peppercorn ⅛ tsp baking soda 2 tbsp oil Oil for frying 3-4 tbsp water Salt to taste
In a large bowl, mix besan with ajwain, hing, turmeric, baking soda, and salt.
Add water in parts and mix the ingredients.
Knead a soft dough. It should be elastic.
Take a small amount of dough and shape it into a fafda - a long stick.
Add it to hot oil and cook until it is crispy.
Store the snack in an airtight container.
