Everyone longs for good skin health. While skin treatment, skin care routines, home remedies, etc. are some ways to achieve the same, it is essential to have a balanced diet alongside skincare routines. Nutrition is a key factor and here are some of the foods to incorporate:

Citrus Fruit

Citrus fruits such as lime, oranges, lemons, sweet lime, and grapefruits are rich in vitamin C, which is known to protect the skin from harmful UV rays and keep it hydrated and firm.

Cucumber

Cucumbers are good for the skin owing to their cooling effect. Apart from applying them, you can consume them regularly. They are known to be rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C and K, all of which are good for the skin.

Yoghurt

A healthy gut often correlates with vibrant skin. Yoghurt contains probiotics that may be good for gut health. It helps keep acne breakouts and skin dryness at bay while enhancing the complexion and skin health.

Green Tea

Green tea has an abundance of natural antioxidants. It contains a phytonutrient called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which protects the skin from harmful free radicals, thus preventing dark spots and pre-aging.

Mangoes

Apart from being delicious, they are known to be packed with vitamins A, E, and C and also have wound-healing properties. They may be effective in reducing facial fine lines and acne marks.

Carrots

They contain antioxidants called beta-carotene, which protect the skin against harmful sun rays and prevent overproduction of cells in the outer layer of the skin.
