Plain rotis can feel boring the next day, but with a few quick additions, they turn into easy desserts that taste like you actually planned them. If you’ve got chapatis in the fridge and a sweet tooth to deal with, these ideas will sort you out.
Spread Nutella generously on a chapati, fold it in half or roll it tightly, and toast it on a pan with a little ghee until crisp on the outside and melted inside. Slice and serve warm for an instant chocolate dessert.
Heat a chapati on a pan with ghee and a sprinkle of plain sugar. Cook until the sugar melts and turns golden, forming a crisp, candy-like layer on both sides. It’s crunchy, buttery, and surprisingly addictive.
Grate or break Milky Bar or any white chocolate over a hot chapati, fold it, and press it on the tawa until the chocolate melts inside. The warm white chocolate filling makes this taste like a sweet stuffed paratha.
Tear leftover chapatis into small bits and simmer them in milk with sugar, cardamom, and chopped nuts. Once soft and thick, it becomes a cosy, desi pudding you can serve warm or chilled.
Warm up a chapati, then drizzle generously with condensed milk. Sprinkle some roasted nuts or even coconut on top. Roll it or fold it, and it becomes a soft, sweet treat you can eat with your hands.
