Nariyal, or coconut barfi, is a traditional South Indian sweet that just melts in your mouth. Is you want to whip up something sweet this festive season, try this recipe and please your sweet tooth.
2 cups grated coconut 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup milk 2 tbsp ghee 1/4 tsp cardamom powder Cashews or pistachios for garnish
Take a pan and simmer milk and sugar till it dissolves.
Increase the heat and add grated coconut. Keep stirring till the mixture thickens.
Add in cardamom powder. Reduce the heat and let the mixture get to a dough-like consistency.
Once ready, transfer it to a greased tray and spread evenly.
Garnish with chopped cashew nuts and pistachios. Cut into pieces and enjoy.
