From being a subtle add-on to salads and chaats to the heart of beverages like mojitos and fresh lime, lemons are an essential part of daily meals. To increase their shelf life, follow these kitchen tips.
Store whole and unwashed lemons in your fridge to keep them fresh for 2-3 weeks.
Keep the lemons in airtight containers to prevent any moisture loss, keeping them firm.
To increase the shelf life up to a month, submerge the lemons in a bowl of water and then refrigerate.
If you want to store a sliced lemon, you can spread the slices in a ziplock bag and deep freeze.
Another way to preserve lemons is to juice them and store the lemon juice in the freezer.
