Cookies are a very comforting snack when it comes to cravings. But sometimes you want a healthier alternative that is super yummy. This mejdool date and oat cookie recipe is exactly that. Naturally sweet and like a hug!

Ingredients

7-10 mejdool dates ½ cup milk ½ cup oats 1 tsp baking powder Chocolate chips, optional

Step 1

Warm your milk. Add it to a bowl. Tear apart the mejdool dates and add to the milk.

Step 2

Mash the dates completely. Mix the milk and dates until a smooth batter forms.

Step 3

Add the ½ cup of oats. Add 1 cup of oat flour. Give it a good mix until it is thick.

Step 4

Add the baking soda. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Lay a baking sheet on the baking tray.

Step 5

Lay the raw cookies on the tray. Press down the chocolate chips if you want to add them.

Step 6

Bake for 10-13 minutes until golden brown. Remove and cool. Store in airtight containers.
