The last thing that you want to do when you’re getting late is cook breakfast. And this 15-minute masala poha recipe can save the day. Follow these 5 steps and don’t go on an empty stomach or rely on coffee.
1.5 cups flattened rice 1 tablespoon oil 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts ½ teaspoon mustard seeds 10 curry leaves ¼ cup chopped onion ¼ cup peas ¼ cup chopped tomato ½ teaspoon turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste Lemon juice for garnishing
Rinse the flattened rice till they soften a bit, and set them aside.
Heat some oil and saute mustard seeds, curry leaves, and chopped onion.
Mix in peas, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, salt, and red chilli powder.
When the tomatoes are soft, add rinsed flattened rice and mix well.
Cook for about five minutes and garnish with roasted peanuts and lemon juice. Serve hot.
