10-Minute Dahi Bhalla Recipe For Your Guests At Home

Dahi Bhalla is one of the most popular Indian street foods. Everyone loves it. It is served cold.  It has the fresh taste of curd, tamarind chutney, chaat masala, and so much more. If you’re hungry now, try this recipe!

Ingredients

400 grams of moong dal 1 cup of urad dal 2 teaspoons of cumin seeds 1 teaspoon of chironji seeds or charoli seeds Oil for frying 1 cup of coriander leaves ¼ cup of pudina leaves 1 green chilli 10-20 garlic cloves ½ teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste

Ingredients

1 lemon, juiced 250 grams of tamarind pulp 1 and ½ cups of water 800 grams of sugar 4 teaspoons of kachri powder ½ teaspoon of ginger powder 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri red chilli powder 3 cups of yoghurt Chaat masala per taste Sev as per taste

Step 1

For 2 hours, soak moong dal and urad dal. Grind them into a paste.

Step 2

Whisk the paste until it turns fluffy. Add in the cumin seeds and chironji seeds. Mix well and set aside.

Step 3

Apply water to your hands. Take small chunks of the batter. Roll them into ball shapes. Deep fry them.

Step 4

Grind the coriander, chillis, ginger and salt together. Add garam masala and lemon juice. Mix.

Step 5

Strain the soaked tamarind pulp. Pour it into a pan. Add sugar and cook it until the sugar dissolves.

Step 6

Add kachri powder, ginger powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Sprinkle the garam masala. Mix well.

Step 7

Whisk the yoghurt. Then, place the deep-fried bhallas on a plate. Add the chutney and the yoghurt.

Step 8

Garnish with sev and chaat masala. Serve it cold.
