Ingredients for Rice vermicelli upma Recipe

  • 0.67 cups Rice vermicelli
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 0.33 tsp Urad Dal
  • 0.33 tsp Mustard
  • 0.17 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.33 tbsp Curry leaves
  • 0.17 cup Onion slices
  • 0.08 cup finely cut beans
  • 0.08 cup finely cut carrots
  • 0.08 cup fresh coconut gratings
  • 0.33 tsp Lemon
  • 1 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • 0.17 tsp Garam masala powder
  • as required Salt
  • 0.67 tbsp Chopped Green chillies

Directions: Rice Vermicelli Upma Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take rice vermicelli in a big bowl.
  • STEP 2.Heat enough water to cover vermicelli in a saucepan. Bring to boil.
  • STEP 3.Pour boiling hot water over vermicelli..cover & rest for 5 min.
  • STEP 4.Drain water.
  • STEP 5.Heat 3 tbs oil in a pan.
  • STEP 6.Add urad dal & mustard.
  • STEP 7.Once mustard crackle add green chillies , turmeric, curry leaves.
  • STEP 8.Add onion, finely cut beans & carrots.
  • STEP 9.Fry for a min.
  • STEP 10.Add salt...little water..cover & cook till veggies are tender.
  • STEP 11.Now add garam masala powder...mix well.
  • STEP 12.Mix in the cooked vermicelli.
  • STEP 13.Add fresh grated coconut, lemon juice, coriander leaves chopped ..give a good mix.
  • STEP 14.Turn off flame..serve hot.
