#curry This Andra style dal is called pappu...means without spicyness...no chilli powder no other masala powders added to this dal,only tempering of garlic ,red chillies, ,mustard seeds, cumin,& curry leaves etc..no garam masala,no red chilli powder.

Ingredients for Pappu dal Recipe

  • 1/4 cup toor/yellow split dal
  • 3/4 Pieces Onion chopped
  • 1/4 Bunches small bunch spinach
  • 1/4 A Bunch small bunch methi
  • 1/4 Pieces Tomato chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Tamarind pulp
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 0.13 tsp Turmeric powder
  • As Required As per taste Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 3/4 Pieces Red chillies
  • 3/4 tbsp Curry leaves
  • 3/4 tbsp ghee/clarified butte

Directions: Pappu Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Place a cooker on medium flame,add washed।nd soaked toor dal add 2 cups of water, add ghee, turmeric powder,coriander powder, green chillies, onions, tomato, garlic, and chopped spinach and fenugreek leaves, close the lid get 3 whistles.
  • STEP 2.Open the lid when cooker cool down,then mash everything together,with a masher .add tamarind pulp water and salt mix well together।
  • STEP 3.For tempering take pan add ghee in a sauce pan, heat up add mustard seeds, let it splutter, add cumin seeds, red chillies and curry leaves saute for 2 min.add the dal. your yummy healthy green pappu is ready to serve with hot rice enjoy...
