Masala Peanuts recipe is a spicy and crunchy addictive tea time snack coated in chickpea flour/besan and few Indian spices. These peanut masalas are easy and quick to prepare.
STEP 1.*** You may increase the quantity of chili powder as per your requirement.
STEP 2.· Take a small tempering pan dry roast the carom seeds till it turns aromatic and crisp. Once cooled down crush it in a mortar and pestle.
STEP 3.· Take a small bowl add crushed carom seeds, Kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, hing, chat masala and salt as per taste. Mix them well by adding water, make sure all the spices are combined well. Keep it aside.
STEP 4.· In another bowl take peanuts. Now add the above paste and let it coat to the peanuts.
STEP 5.· Now gradually add the besan and mix it slowly, continue this process till the peanuts gets coated well. Add 1-2 tsp of water in batches till the peanuts are coated well with besan.
STEP 6.· Take a kadai with oil it it.
STEP 7.· Once the oil heats up add the coated peanuts in the oil. Keep the flame on medium heat.
STEP 8.· Stir occasionally and see if any peanuts are stuck to each other. Slowly loosen it.
STEP 9.· Few peanuts may splutter and the oil will turn plain. So now it’s time to remove the peanuts from the oil.
STEP 10.· Let it cool down completely, enjoy crunchy masala peanuts or store in an airtight container.
