STEP 1.In a pressure cooker, wash and add the moong dal, shallots, 1 greem chilly, potato, salt and turmeric powder. Pressure cook for 1whistle.
STEP 2.Grind coconut, green chillies, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, roasted gram, cashews and make it to a smooth paste.
STEP 3.In a kadai, heat oil, mustard, bay leaf, cinnamon, curry leaves and add dal, ground masala and mix it well. Let it boil for 2-3mins.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
