  • 0.17 Cup Moong dal
  • 0.17 Cup Shallots
  • 0.67 Pieces Potato
  • 0.17 Cup rated coconut
  • 1/2 Tsp Poppy seeds
  • 1/2 Tsps Fennel seeds
  • 1 Pieces reen chillies
  • 1.67 Pieces Cashew nuts
  • 0.67 Tsps Roasted gram(pottukadalai)
  • As Required Salt
  • 0.08 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.33 Pieces Bay leaf
  • 0.33 Pieces Cinnamon
  • 0.33 Tsp Mustard
  • Sprig Curry leaves
  • As Required For Ganishing Coriander leaves

Directions: Idly With Kadappa Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a pressure cooker, wash and add the moong dal, shallots, 1 greem chilly, potato, salt and turmeric powder. Pressure cook for 1whistle.
  • STEP 2.Grind coconut, green chillies, poppy seeds, fennel seeds, roasted gram, cashews and make it to a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.In a kadai, heat oil, mustard, bay leaf, cinnamon, curry leaves and add dal, ground masala and mix it well. Let it boil for 2-3mins. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
