Summer is already started & showing it's colour. To beat the heat, we crave for some cool & chill every time, weather it is cold drinks, juices,ice creams, buttermilk, slush, raita or whatever. But need some cool. So here is a Raita with Makhana. Makhana, Phool Makhana, fox nuts, lotus seeds are popular fasting food with many health benefits. It's health benefits are superior of dry fruits such as walnuts & almonds. It is good source of protein, carbohydrates, fibre, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron & zinc. It is high in fibre & low in calories, so it enables weight loss. Weight watchers... Go for it๐Ÿ˜Š

Ingredients for Foxnut (Makhana) Raita Recipe

  • 1 Cup thick fresh curd
  • 1/2 Cup makhan
  • 7.50 Pieces fresh mint leaves
  • 1.50 Pieces pcs Green Chilli
  • 1/2 Tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  • As Required Salt to taste

Directions: Foxnut (makhana) Raita Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Dry roast makhana till it becomes crispy.
  • STEP 2.2. Finely cut green chillies & mint leaves.
  • STEP 3.3. Whip curd & add all the rest of ingredients, mix well & chill it.
  • STEP 4.4. It is preferable to keep it for some time so makhana are properly soaked & become soft.
  • STEP 5.Notes:
  • STEP 6.1. Can add sugar also if you like sweet taste.
  • STEP 7.2. Can add coriander also.
