Ingredients for Appam Recipe

  • 1/2 Cups Raw rice
  • 0.63 Tsps Urad dal
  • 0.13 Cup rated coconut
  • 1/4 Tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • A Handful Cooked rice
  • As Required Salt
  • As Required Water
  • 1/2 Tbsps Sugar

Directions: Appam Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak raw rice, urad dal and Fenugreek seeds overnight or 4hours.
  • STEP 2.In a mixie jar or grinder, add urad dal grind to a paste. Add raw rice, Fenugreek seeds, coconut and cooked rice. Grind it smoothly and transfer to a bowl. Add required water and mix the batter well. Let it ferment overnight. Before making appam add salt and sugar. Mix well. You can add coconut water as well.
  • STEP 3.In appam pan spread the batter and cook till golden and crispy.
  • STEP 4.Enjoy with coconut milk or egg curry or chicken or veg kurma.
