The task sounds simple, yet we have been failing miserably at it. Water plays a crucial role in our health and well-being. In addition to just quenching thirst, it carries out many major tasks. Here are a few reasons why you should be refilling your water bottles little more often.

This water which is ‘infused’ with the goodness of these superfoods is known as ‘infused water’ or fruit flavoured water or fruit infused water. It is also sometimes referred to as a detox water depending on the ingredients used.

Making infused water could be a fun activity for you and your kids as it quite possibly the easiest thing to make, and let’s not forget how it enhances the flavour and nutritional profile of something as simple as water.  Since this beverage is low in calories, it could also be a good addition to your weight-loss regimen. Here are some cool ideas you can steal.

  • Cucumber +Mint+Lime water: Slice a cucumber vertically, throw it a tumbler of water. Keep it overnight.
  • Watermelon +Kiwi water: Chop up both the juicy fruits and you know rest of the drill. Remember this water is supposed to be consumed cold (room temperature)
  • Orange and Ginger water: Looking for a strong, citrusy and pungent kick. Try adding some roughly chopped oranges and ginger in your water. Keep overnight, drain and drink  
  • Strawberry+Lemon+Basil water: This refreshing burst is what you deserve at the start of every morning. Kids will love it.
  • Blueberries+Raspberries+Coconut water: Why just plain water? Spruce up your coconut water with addition of a few berries and fresh herbs. The millennials are calling it ‘the nature’s cereal’ .
