Kishwar Chowdhury, a household chef seized the opportunity to shine through her culinary skills when she participated in Master Chef Australia as a contestant. In this ongoing 13th season of the show, viewers have witnessed several Indian recipes being prepared by Kishwar and getting them international recognition. No wonder, Indians are so fascinated to watch this season. From Hariyali Chicken to Chicken 65, she has left no stone unturned with her efforts to bring the rich Indian culinary heritage to the global table.

In a recent episode of the show, which airs on Disney+Hotstar, the contestant was seen preparing a Burmese specialty for the judges. Khow Suey, the national dish of Myanmar, (as stated by the contestant in the episode), is a flavourful noodle soup, served with a variety of condiments on the side. The egg noodles are floating in a coconut milk-based curry with tender chicken pieces.

Kishwar’s platter was lined up with lime, salted peanuts, chillies in soy sauce and fresh herbs. The judges were left spellbound by this explosion of flavours. While one exclaimed, “I can’t believe that that’s street food because it’s so luxury”, the other two judges were also very impressed and went on to say, “If I had to give you a score, that’d be 11 out of 10”, leaving the contestant in happy tears.

Masterchef Australia’s official Instagram handle posted a clip from the episode and captioned it as, “Kishwar’s Khao Soi. Street food meets luxury. #MasterchefAU”. She has also created some lip-smacking Bengali and Bangladeshi street food in the Masterchef kitchen in the past and received a lot of love for the same.

Go ahead and give it a watch.
