Excessive oiliness can make your tresses lose their shine. Your sebaceous glad can produce excess sebum owing to various reasons like hormonal fluctuation, vitamin B deficiency, humidity and more. Here, we tell you about a few home remedies that can help you get rid of greasy hair.

Lemon Juice

Being acidic in nature, lemon juice works best on greasy hair. All you need to do is squeeze at least 2 lemons and dilute it with a cup of water, Mix them and apply directly on your scalp. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash your hair using lukewarm water.

Tea Rinse

You read that right. Teas are not only meant for drinking but serve other purposes too. For example, green or black tea can rinse your hair and prevent dullness of hair and greasiness. Caffeine is acidic in nature and that’s what is going to improve your hair volume, strength, and shine. Soak in 2 tea bags in hot water and add a cup of cold water to it for diluting. Use this mixture to wash your scalp and hair. Wait for 15 minutes before washing it off. 

Tomato Hair Mask

Tomato balances the pH level of your scalp and also reduces the excessive oil secretion. To use tomato mas you need to firstly blend one ripe tomato. Now, add one teaspoon of fuller’s earth to it. Mix well and apply on your scalp and hair. Cover your head with a shower cap for 30 minutes and then wash off using cold water.
