Olympics 2020 are underway right now in Tokyo, Japan and while every country is rooting for their stars on each win, there’s another event that has garnered the attention of Indians. World Cadet Wrestling Championship in Hungary Budapest is an event where Indian wrestler Priya Malik made us proud by clinching a gold medal.  While congratulatory messages are on the way, several brands took to their official handles to laud the wrestler. But KFC India stood out. Why you ask? The fast-food chain took to Twitter, in a now-deleted tweet, to congratulate wrestler Priya Malik but mistakenly tagged the wrong Priya in it. KFC India instead tagged actor and poet Priya Malik but the best thing happened when she actually replied with a series of hilarious tweets! “Gold at Hungary making us hungry for celebrations" KFC India tweeted. What ensued was a series of hilarious tweets by the actor. Have a look:

. “I only wear gold and I’m always hungry @KFC_India. Wrong tag," Malik tweeted with laughing emojis.

Not just that fellow Twitter users too followed the bandwagon and took a dig at the fast food giant. After reading the fun comebacks of Priya Malik, a user, Harpal Sinh, suggested “KFC should provide you free meal lifetime”, which the former ‘seconded’. Have a look at some reactions:

Some tweets roasted KFC and said how it had just one job:

A user also pointed out that they are always in a hurry, that often results in half-baked chicken or tweets:

Another user showed some sympathy towards the social media manager, who may be responsible for the mistake:

A user Karishma Sain had a positive takeaway from the incident and spoke about how the power is in women’s hand in both worlds, be it poetry or wrestling.
