Yes, you heard us right. You can whip up your own cocktail by adding seasonal fruit and a hint of liquor, which can give an ordinary beverage a whole new upgrade. To make it more interesting, you can add the winter staple ‘rum’ into it. Rum has a distinct taste which can become a perfect beverage in the summer with a few additions. And combining it with two exotic fruits-pineapple and coconut, will make the beverage overflow with the right balance of richness and sweetness.

Pineapple has the juicy and pulpy taste which nicely compliments the creaminess of the coconut. This drink is rich in flavours which will surely make you fall in love with them. Since most of us are enjoying the ‘staycation’ at our homes this year, it is a perfect opportunity to make this refreshing glass of rum which is accompanied by two tropical fruits. This beverage can be rustled up in a few minutes with four ingredients only. This rejuvenating drink is fruity in taste compared to other cocktail drinks, which makes it an apt choice for the weather. Here’s the recipe for pineapple-coconut rum.


  • 2 cups pineapple, chopped in cubes
  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 1 ½ cup rum
  • Ice cubes


1. In a blender add pineapple cubes and coconut water. Blend the ingredients well until it is smooth.

2. If needed, sieve the mixture into a bowl. So, there aren’t any chunks of the pineapple.

3. In a large pitcher add ice cubes. Then add the blended pineapple-coconut mixture and rum.

4. Stir all of them together for a couple of minutes.

Your refreshing pineapple-coconut rum is ready for slurping.
