Why is air frying healthy?

When you air fry a food item, it uses the circulation of hot air to cook food that would otherwise be submerged in oil.

The air fryer works by covering the desired food with a very thin layer of oil while circulating air heated to 375 degrees F. The air circulates very quickly so that it can better reach all food surfaces and form a crispy crust.

Hence, for someone who doesn’t want to deep fry the bacon, air frying is the healthier option.

Does air fry actually make bacon healthy?

Indeed, cooking bacon in an air fryer is a healthy alternative. It's an easy way to make bacon and it tastes great as well.

In an air fryer, bacon gets cooked in minimal oil yet they come out crispy and tender, the way we like to eat.

Method of cooking bacon in an air fryer

Open the package of bacon and drop it in the air fryer. Arrange the slices of bacon in a single layer to cook evenly.

Bake at 400° F for 8 to 10 minutes, keep checking halfway to rearrange the strips, if necessary.

When it looks crispy and cooked, remove it and allow it to cool. Put the bacon on a tissue paper or paper towel.

Serve immediately.

Note: Before cooking the next batch, make sure to remove bacon fat from the basket to prevent it from smoking. You can also splash some water in the fryer tray to avoid smoking. Alternatively, you can put a piece of bread in the pan to absorb the excess bacon fat. For the next set, keep it to 350-375 degrees F to reduce smoke.

Once you have tried this method of cooking bacon, you will get obsessed with cooking in an air fryer and may never want to deep fry it.
