The name "Darjeeling tea" is derived from its origin. It is also known as " The Champagne of Teas". The tea is grown in the Indian region of Darjeeling, in the Himalayas. The name itself describes the feeling of belonging to the place where it grows.

Darjeeling tea has not appeared recently, but it has a long history going back to 1835 when the British settled in India. This tea is one of the most expensive teas in the world due to its quality, unique flavour and limited production. They are available in many colors like black, green, white and oolong. After careful processing, the tea turns into a delicate light-colored infusion with a floral aroma.

The arrival of the British East India Company in 1820 was the beginning of large-scale tea production in Assam. This is the type of tea traditionally made by the Singhpo tribe. The history of Darjeeling tea generally begins with the arrival of Dr. Campbell in 1839, who is undoubtedly known as the founder of Darjeeling tea. This civilian doctor and first inspector of Darjeeling was transferred from Kathmandu, Nepal, to Darjeeling, a then sparsely populated country mainly inhabited by Lepcha tribes. 

The British government also established tea farms in Lebong, near Darjeeling, in 1847, and began commercial production in 1850. Darjeeling tea is the best tea in the world because of its unique taste that cannot be measured or produced anywhere in the world.
