Here's how to make a delicious corn pudding at home. 


● 2 cups of corn kernels

● 8 tablespoon of butter ( unsalted )

● ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

● ½ of sea salt

● 2 eggs

● 20 grams of granulated sugar

● 2 and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

● 3 cups sour cream

● 7 teaspoon all-purpose flour

● 6 teaspoon corn flour


  1. Preheat the oven at 400 degrees and coat the baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a high-powered blender, blend half of the corn kernels until it forms a fine paste.
  3. Take a nonstick pan and put 5-6 tablespoons of butter. Melt the butter over medium heat till you see the brown colour.
  4.  Add the whole corn kernels, corn paste, salt, and cayenne pepper to the butter, and cook over medium heat. Keep stirring for 4 to 5 minutes, until the corn is soft and brighter yellow.
  5. Scrape the corn into a large bowl and whisk it with the sour cream.
  6. Now whisk the eggs until well combined. Sprinkle the sugar and baking powder on the surface of the batter and make sure it is evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Add the flour and corn flour. Mix the batter. 
  8. Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center to check it it's baked properly. Immediately pour the reserved butter over the batter.
  9. Your corn pudding is ready to serve!

You can keep it at room temperature or store it in the fridge for 3 or 4 days. Before eating, heat at a low temperature in the oven.
